In a good old fashion shootout the Lady Colts varsity pulled out a 58 to 42 victory over the visiting Thunderbirds from West Academy. The Colts led by two at the end of the first quarter and the teams went into the half tied at 23.In a game of two completely different approaches to the game of basketball the Lady Colts took a 5 point lead at the end of the third and pulled away in the fourth. The Thunderbirds were firing threes from everywhere on the court while the Colts were determined to get the ball inside. In the end the "Twin Towers" took over and the outcome was decided. Michaela Pinkerman scored 27 points with 8 rebounds and fellow "Tower" Madeline Rigsby scored 7 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. The lady Colts used pressure defense to rack up 8 steals and, on the offensive end, 9 assists. Kenadee Osborne and Breanna Pugh each scored 10 points. Osborne from the inside and Pugh from outside.
