The 2020 season for the CCS Varsity volleyball team, coached by Head Coach Darla Tea and Assistant Coach Christy Martin, was a season of redemption. After ending the 2019 season with a 2nd place finish in the MTAC tournament, the Lady Colts took this season by storm and finished with an undefeated conference record and a convincing win for the TSIAA state championship. Two of the key players during this incredible season, Landry Tea and Jordan Martin, were given the opportunities to continue their volleyball careers beyond CCS, with both signing to play at a collegiate level.
Jordan Martin celebrated with her family, coaches and peers Wednesday afternoon as she signed to play volleyball at Johnson University. Johnson is a member of the NCCAA and is located in Knoxville, Tenn.
“It’s really exciting, and it’s definitely for real now,” Jordan Martin said. “All the hard work I’ve put in is finally here, and it feels good.”
Landry Tea, a 5-10 Gallatin, Tenn. local, has maintained a 3.9 GPA while at Christian Community School. She was a four-time All-Conference honoree, in addition to tournament MVP recognition as a member of the 2020 TSIAA Division I State Champion Colts. Tea also earned a spot on the Ultra Ankle Junior Volleyball Association (JVA) Watchlist. She spent time playing club with C2 Beach and Southern Kentucky Elite Volleyball Academy.

MIDDLE SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL
The 2020 Lady Colts Middle School volleyball team, led by Head Coach Victoria Bryant, began this season with a plan to overcome a close loss in the 2019 MTAC Tournament Championship game. Bolstered by the return of several members from the prior season, this year's Lady Colts middle school team was able to finish the 2020 season with an undefeated record in conference play and win the 2020 TSIAA Middle School Volleyball State Championship. During the championship, the combined playmaking ability of 8th grader Gracie McFarland and 7th grader Ariana Bryant earned them spots on the tournament All Star team, with Ariana being named the tournament MVP.
