The CCS Lady Colts middle school team topped the visiting Lady Warriors from Pleasant View Christian 24 to 17 in the Lady Colts opening game of the season. The Colts used a swarming pressure defense lead by dynamo Lilly Weaver to fight their way back from an early 6 to 1 deficit to force a tie at the halftime buzzer. In the second half it was all Colts as they outscored the visitors 16 to nine while leading by as much as 11 points late. Betty Jean Head led the Lady Colts with 14 points and 12 rebounds posting her first career double double. Emily Mcclain added 5 points with several steals and drives to the basket. Ruby Wright added 2 points and the aforementioned Weaver chipped in with 3. Gwen Carr led the Lady Warriors with 11 points.
