MS Girls vs. Oak Ridge 1/11

The CCS Lady Colts took a road trip to Kentucky and came home with a 26 to 23 victory over the home standing team from Oak Ridge. The Lady Colts led 15 to 11 at the break and stretched the lead to 9 at the end of the 3rd quarter. Oak Ridge came roaring back to tie the game at 23 with 25 seconds remaining. Point guard Ruby Wright was fouled and the Lady Colts were in the two shot bonus. Wright hit the first free throw to go up by one but missed the 2nd. A scramble for the rebound left the ball out of bounds to Oak Ridge. Makenzie Rigsby stole the inbounds pass and laid the ball in for a 3 point lead. After another CCS steal it was just a matter of running out the clock. Rigsby led the Lady Colts in scoring with 11 points and Emily Mcclain chipped in 6 points to go with 6 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 assists. Cadence Cardwell led all scorers with 12 points for Oak Ridge.
